Thank you so much, Caroline Anne. Always appreciate your feedback. Being able to extend life but not necessarily quality of life is such a huge challenge for us. We were fortunate to have lovely carers where Mum lived. And she didn't have to go though covid and lockdown. I wish those staff were way more valued and supported than seems to be the case. They have such a precious role.

This is a beautiful piece, Beth, and took me right back to the times visiting my great-grandmother in the nursing home where she was only expected to spend a few weeks/months. She ended up, with brain in tact, living, bedridden, for the next eight long years. I could visualise you and your mother so well. It spoke of and showed your history with her and of the heartache you went through in this anguished situation. Loved it.
